A Town Built On A Cliff
Weehawken splits in two: the historic homes up on the Palisades along Boulevard East and the King Ave blocks, and the newer waterfront buildings down at Port Imperial. The hilltop houses take weather head on. Wind off the Hudson drives rain, grime, and organic growth into the exposed sides of these homes, and the shaded downhill faces grow algae like a greenhouse. The result is houses that get dirty unevenly: one side chalky and streaked, the other green.
We soft wash both problems away, evenly, and finish with the details that show at this housing standard: bright gutter faces, clean railings, washed walkways and steps, of which Weehawken has more than its share.
