Edgewater is essentially one long waterfront: River Road threading between the Hudson and the Palisades, lined with condo communities, townhomes, and retail plazas. The river gives everyone the view and everyone the same maintenance problem: moist east facing exposure that streaks siding, spots glass, and feeds mildew on decks and railings faster than inland Bergen County ever sees.
Much of Edgewater's housing is newer construction with fiber cement, composite, and vinyl exteriors, and each of those materials has a correct cleaning method. Fiber cement in particular should never meet high pressure. Soft washing keeps warranties intact and finishes uniform.
